Until Jason Castro's CD comes out, yes, indeed we will.

Now, you know I take this scruff thing personally. If you don't, allow me to remind you.

Finally?

I am happy to report that new pictures for Jason's CD were taken today.

Jasons's tweet: (dated July 15)

Had a succesful fitting this morning for the shoot tomrrow! Thai for lunch, now laying by the pool for a few with my art director. Good day

The best news is.....drumroll..... the pictures will be scruffless!!!

Betsy's tweet from today:

Latest: This place is amazing...can't wait for the pics to be available...Mr. Castro cleans up real good! No scruff in this shoot! :-)

New pictures, a shaved Jason and a CD right around the corner. Let the drunken revelry begin. It's really happening!

By the way, I am choosing to ignore the "laying by the pool" comment. He just had to throw that in, didn't he? Here's hoping that the pants fit well and the art director forgot to provide a shirt.

Jason Castro Shows GRAMMY Campers® He’s More Than an American Idol Contestant by Jenay Ross

While everyone sat in the Booth lecture hall waiting for American Idol contestant Jason Castro, the atmosphere was a mix of excitement, confusion, and sleepiness after a long day of work. Most of the Campers knew Castro as the “guy on American Idol with the dreads,” but after a casual Q&A session with Castro, everyone could see he was much more than just a guy from American Idol.

A Real Tweet

I just have to say that after last night's tweeting spree, frenzy, whatever, I just adore this man more than ever. Yeah, maybe he was just bored and playing with his new toy but still, the way he behaved last night was one of the reasons I was drawn to him in the first place. When you only like an artist for their music, you simply buy their CD. That's where it stops. That, certainly, is where I've stopped in the past.

But as if I need to tell anybody here, Jason is special. It does not surprise me one bit that he has brought together some of the funniest women I have ever met. He has one wicked sense of humor. Yep, beyond his incredible hotness, his gorgeous face and his artistic soul, he harbors a sense of playfulness that is perfectly suited for his Goth Girls. Playfulness. That's what we're about here and that is who he is. Without it, JGG would never have been created or still be in business.

In our play we reveal what kind of people we are.

From a Reuters article dated July 11. (Hey that's tomorrow.)

JASON CASTRO

The original dark horse contestant on "American Idol," Jason Castro finished in fourth place in season seven and in April signed with Atlantic Records, marking the first time the label will work with an "Idol" alumnus.

"If you fell in love with Jason on the show, this is exactly the record you'd want him to make," says Pete Ganberg, Atlantic executive vice president/head of A&R. "It's introspective, playful and very much a combination of his influences, which range from Jeff Buckley to Jack Johnson."

The dreadlocked singer co-wrote 11 songs on the 14-track set, which features production and additional songwriting by Evan Rosse, John Fields and Kara DioGuardi.

"I'm really excited about the music we've written," says Castro, who also signed a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group in June. "I'm ready to get out there and show it to the world."

A debut single is expected to hit radio in August.

An article from the L.A. Times Idol Tracker gives Jason a nice mention concerning his influence on the AI tour this year.

"This year's singers represent the range of current styles that dominate pop radio today, heavily drawing from the alternative music territory that only Brooke White and Jason Castro ventured into last year. The entire production -- and especially the group numbers -- seems geared toward a much far less schmaltzy, current sound."

I guess we Jason Castro fans were just ahead of our time.

A Fourth of July Date--Complete with fireworks.

Looks like our relationship is back on again. He's been working so hard on his CD but he remembered our date. This time, a recently shaven Jason took us to the beach. No, he wasn't shirtless but he was wearing that white Tshirt that we like so well. In a word, he was GORGEOUS! Yeah, then there was some info for the "I'm not interested in how he looks, I only like him for his music" fans. He's recorded four "potential singles" to prepare for promotion and next week he begins working on eleven or twelve more songs. Jason, we. can't wait.

Oh, did I mention he was as sexy as hell?
